VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), a VMware offering in exponential growth mode, is a hybrid cloud platform to run modern workloads, from mission-critical workflows to containerized apps, in the private cloud, public cloud, and at the edge. VCF integrates compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud management services to provide a best hybrid cloud platform for all types of workloads.
We have ambitious goals to expand VCF platform in a way that makes it simpler to run all modern workloads, which are distributed, hybrid, multi-cloud and elastic. That involves turning these full stack infrastructure clusters, hardware(s)plussoftware(s), into programmable, intelligent, intent-driven software endpoints. deployed, secured, and easily managed at scale, like a software CI/CD pipeline
This is a hands-on Software Engineering Intern role who will work on the development of VMWare Cloud Foundation SDDC Manager. It manages hyper converged Infrastructure providing extraordinary customer experience. A key value of SDDC Manager is to reduce costs and provide time-to-value to the customers with a pre-integrated and optimized bundle of hardware and software with a fully automated life cycle management solution. This is an exciting area to work and a fast-paced startup like culture working with high performance team.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
You will contribute to design, and implementation of enterprise class software that provides centralized management for hyper converged product in data centers.
Work as part of team to deliver on software projects using Agile/SCRUM development processes.
You collaborate with stake holders on requirements gathering.
Work closely with project team members (architects, Product Management, Functional QA, System Test), and coordinate all aspects of the projects
Currently pursuing BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related.
Design experience with Data structures, Algorithms and Programming.
Ability to think through, design, discuss, document and present technical aspects of the project to the team.
Follow good software design practices for consistency, code quality and supportability.
Flexible and willing to learn and apply new tools and technologies.
